Hogeschool te Sittard. Na mijn studie (1987) woonde en werkte ik 2 jaar in Benin (West-Afrika). Deze periode bleef een belangrijke bron van inspiratie.

Als docent beeldende vakken werkte ik langere tijd in het Voortgezet Onderwijs. Daarnaast deed ik ervaring op in de hulpverlening door begeleidend en therapeutisch werk met groepen en individuele cliënten. De interesse voor de mens in al zijn facetten ontstond hier en is een terugkerend thema in mijn werk.

Naast het werken met textiel / mixed media ben ik blijven schilderen en tekenen. In mijn werk zijn herinneringen, dromen, verlangens, gedachten, de impulsen voor beelden in nieuwe combinaties gerangschikt. Het beeldend proces is steeds weer een zoektocht naar onbekend land.
